Dr. Jack Scallions, President

In September 1973, Fairview Baptist Church called Jack Scallions as its pastor. Pastor Scallions had been pastoring the Northview Baptist Church in Dalton, GA, while attending seminary. When Pastor Scallions came, Fairview Baptist Church had previously had six pastors in twenty years and only one building.  Along with his love for the pastorate, he is a regular speaker for Bible conferences, special meetings, and commencements.

He is known and respected by his peers for his strong conservative stand and his genuine love for people. Dr. Scallions and his wife, Paulette, have three children: Randy Scallions, Mrs. Dana Cash, and Mrs. Marty Alexander. Dr. Scallions graduated from Temple Baptist Seminary in 1973, taking the M.R.E. and Master of Divinity degrees. He was honored by his Alma Mater with a Doctorate of Divinity Degree in 1996. Dr. Scallions presently serves as President of the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools. Under his leadership, the Fairview Baptist Church has grown into a multi-faceted ministry with a 36-acre campus. A 16,800 sq. ft. auditorium facility was completed debt-free in May of 2009. Camp Fairview, a 150-acre youth camp, hosts hundreds of campers each summer.

Fairview Christian Academy was founded in 1977, and as an accredited institution, has provided quality, academic education in a Christian environment. A daily radio program has been a ministry of the church since Pastor Scallions came. The church's ministries include:  a Spanish church, bus ministry, King's Kids, children's church, and a worldwide missions program.


Mr. Greg Ranck, M.Ed., Administrator

Before Mr. Ranck began his tenure at FCA as the Administrator in 2005, he served in Central Georgia for eight years as a Math teacher, Assistant Principal and Coach.

Mr. Ranck graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, in 1998, and completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2008. Along with his administrative duties, he enjoys teaching students Math and coaching boys’ basketball.

Mr. Ranck attributes his passion for Christian Education to the impact that Christian Education made in his own life as a young person.  He is also an active part of Fairview Baptist Church.


Mrs. Connie Keeton, Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Keeton is the Administrative Assistant to Mr. Ranck.  She also serves as the School Secretary.  As secretary, she has the opportunity to interact with students and their parents.  She attended FCA for ten years and is an FCA graduate. She earned a degree in Office Administration at Tennessee Temple University.  She gladly accepted God's call to work at Fairview in 2009.

She is thankful that her boys have the opportunity to attend the same Christian school that she attended.  Mrs. Keeton feels it is a privilege to be able to work in a Christian environment and enjoys serving others.


Mrs. Mary-Ann Davis, M.Ed., Asst. Principal-Cirriculum & English

Mrs. Davis is the senior faculty member (1978 to present). During her years at FCA, she has taught 2nd grade through 12th grade and at present is teaching English in grades 7-12.  She also serves as Preschool Director.

She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with an English proficiency and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum from Tennessee Temple University. In 1981, she was honored as the FCA Yearbook dedication recipient. In 1988, she received the TACS Elementary Teacher of the Year Award and was awarded the “2004-2005 FCA Teacher of the Year” by the Optimist Club of Athens.

Mrs. Davis believes God led her to Fairview to serve Him by serving the students and parent of FCA, and she has enjoyed investing in the lives of her students.


Mr. Randy Reagan, M.Ed., English, Math, & Bible

Mr. Reagan teaches high school students English, Math and Bible. He holds a B.S. degree in Bible from Bob Jones University and a M.S. degree in Education from Pensacola Christian College.

He has a strong background in both business and education.

He believes that this will allow him to prepare each student to "live a life not just make a living."


Mr. Jordan Taylor, History, Math, PE, Coaching

Jordan Taylor is a graduate of Fairview Christian Academy. He holds a B.A. degree in History from Pensacola Christian College. He will be teaching History, Math, and P.E. for middle and high school.

He looks forward to the opportunity to return to his alma mater and impact his students’ lives for Christ.


Miss Becky Anderson, Fifth & Sixth Grade, HS Spanish

After graduating from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, Miss Anderson received her Master's Degree in Christian education from Crown College in Powell, Tennessee.

After receiving her Master's Degree, Miss Anderson taught at a Christian school south of Atlanta for thirteen years. She has taught every grade on the elementary level. Currently, she is teaching 5th and 6th grade at FCA.

"Serving in a local church is wonderful. Having the opportunity to assist a local church with their ministry of Christian education is an exciting investment in the next generation."


Mrs. KariAn McElhaney, First & Second Grade

Mrs. McElhaney, along with her husband Joe, is an FCA Alumnus. She attended Tennessee Temple University and was able to complete both her 5th/6th grade student teaching and a K-5 project study at her Alma Mater. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1999, she taught K-5 for a year and a half before taking a leave of absence to raise her own children.  Since her return in 2007, Mrs. McElhaney has taught 6th grade, P.E., and Teacher Cadet.

Currently she teaches kindergarten and 6th grade English.

Mrs. McElhaney is also involved in coaching, intramural sports, and elementary field day. In 2011, she was awarded the “2010-2011 FCA Teacher of the Year” award from the Optimist Club of Athens.  When asked what she enjoys most about teaching at FCA, she responded, “I love coming back to teach at my school and being a part of the wonderful ministry of the Fairview Baptist Church.”


Mrs. Samantha Boyd, Kindergarten - K5

Mrs. Boyd serves as our lead teacher in our "Kiddy Academy." Mrs. Boyd comes to us with seven years of service in the city schools preschool. She is currently pursuing a degree in early childhood education from Cleveland State.


Mrs. Zarah Smith, Kiddy Academy

Mrs. Smith is an FCA alumna, class of 2009. She graduated from Cleveland State with an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has worked with the Kiddy Academy since 2013.


Mrs. Jan Reynolds, Hand Bells Director

Mrs. Reynolds diligently instructs FCA students in the area of music. She is married to Boyd Reynolds. They have three children – all FCA alumni.

Mrs. Reynolds is a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Under Mrs. Reynolds' direction and her desire for excellence, our students have excelled inhand bells.


Mrs. Paulette Scallions, Lunchroom

Mrs. Scallions serves as our Lunchroom Coordinator. She has served at FCA since the school began in 1977. She enjoys ministering to the students from K3 to 12th grade.

Mrs. Scallions is married to Pastor Jack Scallions. They have three children (all FCA graduates) and seven wonderful grandchildren.  "Miss" Paulette is an active member of Fairview Baptist Church. She coordinates the ladies' groups and different activities for the ladies.
